LCHS FCA and Cross Country team members, Lucy Matthews and Lucas Aycock, recently competed in a 5K. Afterward, the runners enjoyed breakfast and heard guest speaker Samuel Garringer, a Clemson University graduate and former member of both Clemson’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams.

Mrs. Wheeler's Physical Science Escape Room Winners
Members of the Lincoln County High School National Beta Club recently traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, to compete at the 2026 National Beta Convention held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. LCHS students competed across multiple events, including Collaboration Connection and Beta Blitz, with several members earning top national honors:
Sean Chamberlain '28 placed 3rd in Poetry.
The team of Kristian Glover ’26, Nahum Chiles ’27, Emma Baker ’27, Chase Elam ’28, and Madison Bernritter ’29 secured 5th place in Being Better Betas.
Additional LCHS Beta Club participants included Claire Basey, Caleb Harding, Haley Keown, John Mackenzie, Gabriel Ringgold, Randson Thomson, and Jesse Wood.
We are proud of these students for representing LCHS with distinction at the national level!

Attention Devil Nation!! In response to today’s excessive heat advisory and out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our players and staff, the arrival of the Lincoln County Red Devils to Buddy Bufford Field will be delayed until 7 PM. There will not be a Devil Walk prior to tonight's game; players will warm up at the high school before coming to the field. We encourage all fans attending tonight’s game to stay hydrated. Kickoff is 7:30 PM. We hope to see the seats full of RED as the Devils take on the Abbeville Panthers. Let's go BIG RED!!
Does your Freshmen have questions about next steps as they start high school? Now that the school year has started, are there questions that still need answering about class rank, the honors policy, dual enrollment, etc.? Join us on Thursday, August 20th at 5:30 PM to clear up some of those questions during our 'Rookie Debrief'. It's not just for Freshmen; all grade levels are welcome to attend! The meeting will take place in the LCHS Cafeteria.
